The New School of Ceramics and Applied Arts is a substantial part of the Experimental Ceramics Center and was born with the aim of educating new professionals in ceramics and artisan work.
A true school for formation, development and exploration, aiming to become a place where tradition and innovation come together, giving life and expression to the creativity and inspiration of all students through an in-depth technical and technological knowledge.
The school, located in Montelupo Fiorentino, which is historically known as a center for its ceramic production, offers different types of courses, structured for different learning levels. Through our courses all the skills necessary to operate in the ceramic sector and in other craft sectors can be gradually acquired.
For appointments and to visit the New School of Ceramics and Applied Arts, the opening hours of the Center are:
From Monday to Friday 8.30am – 1.00pm
Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 2.30pm – 5.30pm
For those who want to approach the ceramic world in a professional way and gradually transform this passion into a real craft, the New School of Ceramics and Applied Arts has thought of a gradual and professionalizing path consisting of diversified levels of courses to allow students to learn more about techniques and technologies or update their professional background.
It is therefore possible to participate in professional courses divided by:
beginners – for those with initial experience with ceramics,
intermediate – for those who have already had experience, even just a little experience, with ceramics,
advanced – for those with a background of experience and already trained in the sector,
master classes and workshops – for professionals in the ceramic sector and / or other sectors such as designers, architects etc. who want to deepen specific themes of the ceramic and handicraft sector.
