The advanced professional courses are the last level of the study paths of the New School of Ceramics and Applied Arts.
They are aimed at all those who already have a good theoretical, practical and technical basis regarding ceramic production and want to complete their training. The courses are intended to provide all the tools for perfecting the skills required for executive autonomy in every phase of the production cycle: moulding, decoration, moulding, firing, prototyping, etc..
Training is also provided by chemical laboratory technicians and specialized professionals in the sector in order to immerse students in the complex world of professional ceramics, technique and technology. Further support is provided by expert specialised professionals and those responsible for the phases of the production cycle.
Finally, there will also be in-depth study of aspects relating to the entrepreneurship and marketing of ceramic products such as current markets and commercial possibilities, new technologies and their application in the ceramic sector, and the reference regulations of the artisan activity.
A path that aims to complete the training path and/or to update professionals in the sector by expanding their skills and technical knowledge.
This level also includes specific Masters and Workshops, i.e. intensive courses dedicated to specific topics lasting a few days, aimed at ceramists and professionals, architects, designers and students in the sector who wish to specialise and perfect their skills in particular techniques or production processes.
In this case the aim is not, as in the other courses, to learn how to create objects and produce ceramic artefacts, but to understand how “ceramics” can be used and experimented in its peculiarities and technical characteristics. To define the innovative potential of ceramic materials and technology in order to apply them to new products in a more contemporary and futuristic artistic and functional vision.
At the end of the courses each participant will receive a certificate of attendance and, if not available, a training booklet that can be used for all the courses of the Montelupo Ceramics School and CSS.
